Harland Snodgrass

Cacti and Others

Harland had plants. Harland had some plants.

Squat cacti. Tall cacti. Medium-sized succulents—especially agaves. Dozens of beautiful, sprawling and gigantic plants. As Harland transitioned from his house in St. Louis Park to The Kenwood in Minneapolis it forced him to downsize plant-wise. Some of the large ones were sold; others given to plant-loving homes.

This gallery is (mostly) a compilation of the donated plants plus the offsprings of his plants—cuttings from his larger ones and such—which thrive to this day.

Harland lives on. Through these striking and distinctive plants. The plants expand; creating new statuesque presences, continuing.
